Why do I need to complete a Technical Activation Call if I have already been activated?

Beginning in May 2017, 90 Seconds introduced Service Quality Levels as a way to give Creators greater control on the types of jobs they are offered.

This update allowed Creators to choose the service level (rate) they are willing and able to provide, as well as the ability to select the size of jobs they would like to be offered (1, 2, 5 and 10 hour).

As a result, all previously activated creators need to go through a quick Zoom call to validate their service levels and job sizes on their profile.

We refer to this call as a Technical Activation call because it is a standardized process to make sure all creators are activated consistently and accurately.

But it also provides an opportunity to make sure your profile is fully optimized for the most amount of work, review new platform updates and answer your questions. After completing a technical activation call, your profile is circulated to our producer team and is given priority for work in your area.

Because you have already been activated, it will not take long – around 15 minutes. If you have worked with us before, we take the opportunity to collect any feedback from you on how we can improve.

Beginning in October 2018, Technical Activation calls must be completed prior to the start of the project. We will contact you directly to schedule the call when we have been able to match your profile with the perfect job.

Once we have scheduled your call, you can review how to prepare for your technical activation call.
