What is a Lighting Director?

A Lighting Director plays a crucial role in video production, working closely with the director and Director of Photography to create the desired visual atmosphere for a film or video project. Their primary responsibility is to coordinate and manipulate lighting equipment to achieve the desired look and mood as determined by the creative vision of the project.
