  • Finland As of 26 July, travel to Finland is possible for all travellers who meet the health and vaccination requirements.
  • Norway Only Norwegian citizens and foreigners with a permanent residence will be allowed to enter.

      • China China orders movement controls, lockdowns amid summer Covid-19 flare-up.
      • Hong Kong SAR China As of February 18, Hong Kong commenced easing of its social distancing restrictions following a fall in cases. Dining hours have been extended and sports and entertainment facilities have started reopening. Masks are also mandatory in both indoor and outdoor public spaces. TV production has also resumed with safety work practices in place.
      • Japan Japan extended its state of emergency in Tokyo and other regions and announced new measures covering seven more prefectures until 12 September.
      • Pakistan Non-essential businesses and public facilities like theatres and gyms have been allowed to reopen though restrictions might be re-imposed based on the number of cases in each province. Face coverings remain required when in public settings and onboard public transport.
      • Philippines As of February, social restrictions continue to differ in each local province and mask wearing is mandatory when onboard public transport. Metro Manila is currently subject to a curfew from midnight-4am with the exception of Navotas City which has curfew hours of 8pm-4am. Film production has resumed with all crew involved to abide by public health protocols.
      • India The Tamil Nadu government on August 21 extended the Coronavirus lockdown by another two weeks to September 6 and allowed the opening of theatres from August 23 and educational institutions from September 1. Detailed Standard Operating Procedures awaited.
      • Thailand The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has announced the latest Order of the Temporary Closure of Premises (No. 39) that continues the measures in the previous Orders No. 32 and No. 34-38 and is adjusted to comply with the Royal Thai Government’s Directive No. 28 to expand lockdown in 29 dark-red zone provinces, which include Bangkok, from 3-31 August, 2021.
      • Vietnam Stricter COVID-related movement controls in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 23 August. Other restrictions set to continue until 15 September.
      • Myanmar (Burma) As of February, Yangon remains under a 'Stay at Home' order whereby residents are only permitted to leave their households for essential services and supplies. Film production has resumed with all crew involved to abide by the Ministry's public health protocols and industry guidelines.
      Europe
      • Ireland Covid restrictions are likely to remain till October.
      Oceania
      • Australia Lockdown in NSW, Victoria and ACT (Canberra) ongoing. Interstate travels and video shoot services are restricted unless deemed essential.
      • New Zealand Filming in Auckland needs to abide by strict guideline. Out of Auckland, all of NZ is B2B for shoots. Auckland (and the rest of NZ) are relaxing all restrictions for vaccinated persons at 11.59pm 6th December.
      North America
      • United States Rules and restrictions vary between states though majority of states are extending social restrictions. Toggle to the United States map for more information on each state's reopening progress.
      South America
      • Argentina Argentina is partially reopen and has relaxed restrictions since 6 Aug.
      • Peru In view of the world situation, the Peruvian government has decreed a State of Emergency, which has an impact on health and safety measures for all travellers.
      • Chile The Chilean government has extended the closure of the country's borders to almost all travel through at least July 25 to curb the spread of COVID-19.
      • Guatemala As of June 28, authorities in Guatemala continue to employ a four-tier color-coded system for classifying individual municipalities based on the local level of COVID-19 activity and imposing restrictions accordingly. The four tiers range from the red level, indicating the highest risk, to the green level, which indicates the lowest. Over 60 percent of the country is at the red level.
      • Dominican Republic Curfew is established throughout the country, except in the National District and La Altagracia province after August 9, 2021, every day from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., with free circulation until 1:00 a.m.
      • Mexico Mexico uses a four-colored epidemiological system to track the pandemic nationally. It determines which activities are safe to resume. As of 9 Aug, seven of the nation’s 32 states in red status – meaning only essential activities are allowed. Nine are yellow – a moderate level of restrictions – and 15 are orange, with more stringent limitations on commercial and social activities.

      • South Africa As of February, South Africa has imposed Alert Level 3 lockdown restrictions across the country. This restriction includes a curfew from 11pm to 4am. Masks are mandatory in all public spaces. Under Alert Level 3, film production is possible with all involved to abide by safety protocols.
      • Ghana As of February, Ghana has continued the phased easing of social restrictions though non-essential services like nightclubs and cinemas remain closed. Masks are mandatory when outside of homes. Under current guidelines, film production is possible.
      • Kenya Kenya has extended its nationwide curfew from 10pm to 4am till March 12. During this time, all residents are to remain indoors except for essential services workers. Masks remain mandatory in all public spaces. On March 30, 2020, the Kenya Film Commission announced that filming in shoot locations is prohibited.
      • Nigeria As of February, Nigeria has imposed local restrictions which vary according to each local state. Abuja and Lagos' daily night-time curfew of 12am to 4am remains in effect as well. Face masks are mandatory when in public spaces. Film production has resumed with cast and crew to abide by safety protocols.
      • Burkina Faso As of February, Burkina Faso tightened social restrictions following a rise in cases. Masks remain mandatory throughout the country.
      • Mauritius As of February, social distancing and the wearing of masks remain mandatory in Mauritius. Film production has resumed with all to abide by health guidelines and safety protocols.
      • Uganda As of February, Uganda's night-time curfew from 9pm to 6am remains in effect. Use of public and private transport services is now permitted. Masks are mandatory in all public spaces. Gatherings of up to 200 people are allowed provide social distancing measures are taken. Under current guidelines, film production is possible.
      Middle East
      • Israel As of February, there are no local movement restrictions in Israel. Non-essential services such as theatres and gyms have reopened at certain occupancy limits. Masks are mandatory when outside of homes. Film production has resumed with all involved to abide by safety protocols when filming.
      • Iran On February 3, Iran extended its night-time 9pm to 3am curfew. Restrictions differ in each local city according to their coloured zones dependent on the pandemic situation locally. Masks are required in enclosed public spaces.
      • Saudi Arabia On February 4, Saudi Arabia announced the temporary suspension of dine-in services in restaurants and cafes. Non-essential establishments such as cinemas, gyms and indoor entertainment centres are to close as well. Masks remain mandatory in public spaces.
      • Egypt As of February, Egypt's public transportation restrictions remain with services to cease between midnight until 4am. Face masks are mandatory in enclosed public spaces such as government buildings and malls. Film production has resumed with guidelines in place.
      • Qatar On February 4, Qatar tightened restrictions following a rise in cases. Gathering limits and passenger capacity onboard public transport services have been reduced. Capacity limits in public spaces like malls, restaurants and outdoor swimming pools have also been tightened.
      • Jordan As of February, Jordan's daily 10pm to 6am curfew remains in effect. Restaurants and cafes have reopened at limited capacity. Gloves and masks are mandatory when out in public spaces. Film production has resumed in Jordan with all involved to abide by safety guidelines as issued by The Royal Film Commission.
      • Kuwait On February 24, Kuwait will ban entry to malls, restaurants and cafes with delivery-only service operating till further notice. Public bus services have also reduced their passenger operating capacity to 30% as well. Masks remain mandatory when out in public spaces.
      • Lebanon As of February, Lebanon commenced a 24-hour curfew which will last until March 8. Only essential services and establishments are permitted to open during the lockdown. Masks are mandatory when outside of homes and in vehicles.
      • Oman Masks remain mandatory in all public places. Most non-essential businesses such as gyms, spas and tourist sites either remain closed or are subject to temporary closure. Public gatherings are not permitted.

                  • Missouri On June 16, Missouri entered the second phase of its recovery plan and has since fully reopened. All social distancing restrictions were also removed. Film production has resumed with all involved to abide by Kansas City Film Office's recommended safety guidelines.

                  • Alabama Alabama has extended its Safer-at-Home order till Noember 8. Mask wearing and social distancing measures are also enforced in public spaces. As of October, the Alabama Film Office has yet to announce production guidelines in response to the Coronavirus on their website.
                  • Arizona As of October 1, all Arizona counties have met benchmarks for safely reopening non-essential services like gyms and cinemas. Face mask requirements differ in each Arizona county. Film production has resumed and all involved are required to follow safety protocols as set by the Governor.
                  • Arkansas As of October 6, Arkansas remains in Phase 2 of its reopening plans. Masks have been made mandatory statewide since July 20. As of October, the Arkansas Film Commission has yet to announce production guidelines in response to the Coronavirus on their website.
                  • California As of October, reopening of businesses remains dependent on each county's tier assignment. Masks remain mandatory statewide. As of October 13, TV and film production has resumed in California with some subjected to modifications according to the county's risk level.
                  • Colorado On October 11, Colorado extended its statewide mask mandate till at least November 10. Colorado also remains in Level 2 of its Safer-at-Home restrictions while encouraging residents to spend time outdoors. Film production has resumed and is subjected to statewide guidelines and local restrictions.
                  • Connecticut On October 8, Connecticut began Phase 3 of state reopening with a notable increase in indoor and outdoor gathering limits. Masks remain mandatory in public spaces. TV and film production has resumed since June 17 with all crew involved to abide by public health protocols.
                  • Delaware As of October 14, Delaware remains in Phase 2 of state reopening. Masks remain mandatory in public spaces. Film production was prohibited in Delaware during Phase 1 of reopening while production guidelines have yet to be announced in the current Phase 2.
                  • District of Colombia As of October 5, District of Columbia (D.C.) remains in Phase Two of state reopening. Masks remain mandatory in both indoor and outdoor public spaces. Film production has resumed, with production firms to submit filming permit applications for approval.
                  • Florida On September 25, all Florida counties entered Phase 3 of state reopening with non-essential services resuming operations with social distancing measures in place. Face mask requirements differ in each county. Film production has resumed and is subjected to statewide guidelines and local restrictions.
                  • Georgia Georgia will remain in a Public Health State of Emergency till November 9. Gatherings of over 50 people remain prohibited unless there is 6 feet between each individual. Film production has resumed with guidelines and social distancing measures in place.
                  • Hawaii Honolulu will remain in Tier 1 of its reopening strategy till October 31 which enforces strict gathering limits. Masks are mandatory statewide in public spaces. TV and film production has resumed with guidelines and restrictions differing in each county.
                  • Idaho As of October, Idaho remains in its fourth stage of reopening with the exception of Ada county. Masks are strongly encouraged in public spaces. As of October, the Idaho Film Office has yet to announce production guidelines in response to the Coronavirus on their website.
                  • Illinois As of October, Illinois remains in its fourth stage of state reopening. Masks are mandatory in all public spaces statewide. As of June 22, film production has resumed with filming location capacity restricted at 50%.
                  • Indiana On September 26, Indiana entered Stage 5 of state reopening with stores and restaurants allowed to operate at full capacity with social distancing measures in place. The mask mandate has been extended till at least October 17. Film production has resumed and is subjected to statewide guidelines.
                  • Iowa Iowa has extended its Public Health Disaster Emergency proclamation till at least October 18. Masks are strongly encouraged in public spaces. Film production has resumed with cast and crew to abide by safe distancing measures and proper hygiene practices.
                  • Kansas Kansas has extended its State of Emergency declaration till at least January 16, 2021. Masks are mandatory statewide. Film production has resumed with all involved to abide by Kansas City Film Office's recommended safety guidelines.
                  • Kentucky Kentucky's mask mandate has been extended till at least November 5. As of October 4, most of Kentucky has recoorded an accelerated Covid-19 incidence rate. Since its last announcement on August 7, the Kentucky Film Office has yet to announce film production guidelines in response to the Coronavirus on their website.
                  • Louisiana Louisiana extended its third phase of state reopening till November 6. Masks are mandatory statewide. Film production has resumed with all crew involved to abide by safety guidelines and public health protocols.
                  • Maine On October 13, Maine entered Phase 4 of state reopening. Masks remain mandatory statewide in both indoor and outdoor public spaces. Film production has also resumed with all crew involved required to abide by public health protocols.
                  • Maryland As of October, Maryland remains in its third phase of state reopening. Masks remain mandatory statewide. TV and film production have resumed, with cast and crew to abide by safety protocols and CDC and OSHA guidelines.
                  • Massachusetts As of October 5, Massachusetts remains in its third phase of state reopening. Masks remain mandatory statewide. Indoor gatherings are limited to 25 people, if in a single enclosed space. Motion picture, television and streaming production have resumed with all crew involved to abide by public health protocols.
                  • Michigan As of October 9, Michigan remains in Phase 4 of its MI Safe Start plan. The statewide mask mandate has also been extended till at least October 30. As of October, the Michigan Film and Digital Media Office has yet to announce production guidelines in response to the Coronavirus on their website.
                  • Minnesota As of October, Minnesota remains in its third phase of state reopening. Masks are mandatory statewide. As of October, it is unclear if Minnesota has allowed the resumption of film production.
                  • Mississippi Masks are mandatory statewide in schools and close contact personal care services such as salons. Film production has resumed with cast and crew strongly encouraged to abide by suggested health guidelines.
                  • Montana As of September 30, Montana remains in its second phase of state reopening. Masks are mandatory statewide. Film production has resumed with all crew involved required to follow social distancing measures and CDC health practices.
                  • Nebraska As of October, all Nebraska counties have entered Phase 4 of state reopening though Lancaster County is keeping some Phase 3 restrictions in place. Film production has resumed with all crew involved encouraged to abide by state production guidelines.
                  • Nevada On Septmber 29, Nevada eased certan gathering restrictions though as of October 4, bars have reverted back to Phase 1 restrictions. Masks remain mandatory statewide. Film production has resumed with certain jurisdictions issuing permits for cast and crew.
